Our annual Christmas Exhibition opens on Saturday 7 November and runs until Christmas Eve. Come for some out of town shopping at our lovely arts centre in the heart of the village with free onsite parking. Our Arts Centre and Christmas Café is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10am – 4pm for light lunches, amazing cakes, locally roasted coffee from Silver Oak and our outside seating area. Great for late autumn meet ups.
We’re extending our usual offer of beautiful handmade works and one-off original art pieces with a wider range of gifts including amazing scents from the Candle Company Cambridge. This Girton-based business venture founded by Joelle Bouttell, offers hand-poured soy candles that are kosher, vegan and nontoxic. You can also pick up Christmas themed face masks, pop up advent calendars and cute Christmas Decorations.
Special shopping events
On Saturday 7th and Saturday 28th November we’ve got two exclusive shopping events where we’ll be joined by a range of local artists and makers. From metalwork and jewellery, textiles, clothes and bags to paintings and willow please come and support local artists. Open 10am – 4pm both days, we have taken extra precautions to help ensure a covid-secure event. Free entry. Please check our website for any updates on Government advice in early November.
You can still book for creative workshops, this half term with two Play with Clay sessions for 5 – 8 year olds on Thursday 29th October at 11am & 2pm. Our Christmas Glass workshop on 26th November and Ann Biggs’ drawing workshop on 14th November still have spaces. Class numbers are restricted and we’re taking extra precautions including quarantining materials before use.
Our regular studio artists – Ann Biggs, Bear Ink and Debs Munford are open throughout the month (various times and days) We’re also pleased to welcome Chrissie, illustrator and painter Laura from Art in the Burrow who’s taken up temporary residence in our Garden Studio. Julie will be in Studio 6 in November followed by Glass Artist June who will be taking permanent residence from December.
