We are writing to inform you that the venue for the Planning Committee meeting on Monday 17 September 2018 at 10am has changed to the Council Chamber, Shire Hall, Castle Street, Cambridge, CB3 0AP. This meeting will no longer take place at Cambourne so I would appreciate it if you could update your records accordingly.

Please note that there is no need to re-register to speak if you have already done so, as your details will be carried across by Mr Daniel Snowdon. The date and time remain unchanged and it is only the venue that has been amended.

The original venue was recommended by Members of Planning Committee on the basis that it is better equipped to deal with large numbers of people wanting to attend. It also has a much better layout, acoustics and I.T. facilities to ensure that everyone is able to see and hear. Whilst officers still consider that Cambourne would be the better venue for the same reasons given by Members of the Planning Committee; for a variety of reasons we have reconsidered this choice and have amended the venue back to our own Council Chamber.

I hope that this venue change doesn’t cause you too much inconvenience and that you now understand the reason for the original choice of venue.

Should you wish to discuss the meeting arrangements in more detail please contact Mr Daniel Snowdon on 01223 699177 or by e-mail to democraticservices@cambridgeshire.gov.uk..

Yours faithfully

Emma Fitch
Business Manager, County Planning, Minerals and Waste
