Dear colleagues,

I work for a local charity called the Cambridgeshire Alliance for Independent Living (CAIL), an organisation that works for people with disabilities, older people and carers to ensure that their voices are heard about local services.

One of our current projects, Voices4Choices, aims to raise awareness about a method of funding and arranging care and support needs called Direct Payments. Direct Payments can give people greater flexibility, choice and control about the care and support they receive, such as care in the home, attending a day centre or respite care for carers.

I am looking for opportunities to get out into the community and would very much welcome invitations to visit support and social groups to speak to people who might benefit from hearing about Direct Payments – not just those people who currently need care and support but also perhaps those that are thinking about getting some support or know that at some point in the future they may need some support.

If you would like to know more and would like me to come to visit groups, then please do get in touch and my colleague James (cc’d) and I can give you a call to make arrangements.

With kind regards,

Leisha O’Brien
